When you need multiple signs to believe…..
My nickname from childhood was Bam-Bam. I was known for stomping my feet in frustration, slamming doors, barging into spaces, and talking loudly (yelling?). While that behavior brought me some success in life, it also brought me anxiety, frustrations, and (honestly) embarrassment. I began to wonder, what would happen if I turned things over to The Universe and let it guide me to what I was needing.
I’ve been taking this approach for ten months now, and recently, I began to question my approach. Was I really waiting for The Universe, or was I lazy? Or maybe insecure and afraid to try?
On Friday night, I sat down and wrote in my journal- “By the end of the weekend, I ask for a sign from The Universe that I’m following the right path. The sign will be a blue bird of any kind.” I picked a blue bird because blue was my grandmother’s favorite color and my grandmother is one of my guardian angels. If I saw a blue bird by Monday I would feel assured I am doing what I need to be doing.
Saturday began like any other day- playing games on my phone while I ate breakfast. Then, I went off to Orangetheory to complete a workout, followed by a walk with my dog. During my walk, I remembered my ask for a sign. I began thinking of all the different types of blue birds. Blue Jay…. Peacock…. wait… Peacock?
I started thinking of peacocks and felt like I just read something about them. I thought back through my day and remembered playing a trivia game on my phone. The game posed a lot of questions about peacocks and their blue feathers. And when I say a lot- I mean within an hour I probably had five questions about peacocks.
Was this my sign?
My first thought was, “No, it needs to be a real blue bird- not something from a trivia game.” I then looked at a neighbors yard and saw a sign for “Blue Raven” solar panels. Huh.
Is this also a sign?
I kept walking and thinking- “Peacocks in a trivia game? Blue Raven solar panels? Are these my signs?”
I got home, did some house chores, and kept thinking- “Peacocks in a trivia game? Blue Raven solar panels? Are these my signs?” For hours, this went on.
I finished my chores, sat on my couch, and began to crochet. I was so frustrated and then I thought, “I’ll text my friend S and ask her what she thinks.” I put my crochet project down to pick up my phone. I looked up on my mantel and saw…

A BLUE CERAMIC BIRD
I sat with all my thoughts for a moment.
I had asked for a sign, and The Universe sent me one. I didn’t have faith that it was true, and when I questioned its validity, The Universe sent me more signs.
I am on the right path.
I don’t need to force my future.
I will manifest my future with the guidance of The Universe and my guardian angels.
